Americans react to Trump's White House palm room renovations - I like how they replaced the plants with photos of plants

Presidents often update the White House, but Donald Trump’s latest project is drawing strong reactions. The Palm Room, which connects the residence to the Rose Garden, has undergone a dramatic makeover, featuring marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and stark white walls.

Once filled with benches, plants, and natural light, the space now resembles a private club more than a historic greenhouse-inspired room.

From greenery to marble

Before, the Palm Room had a greenhouse feel. Benches, potted plants, and gray tile floors made it warm and inviting. Natural light gave the room a softer character that matched its name.

Now, the plants and seating are gone. In their place are white marble floors, crystal chandeliers, mirrored panels, and framed portraits. Trump reposted the new look on Truth Social, calling it “magnificent.”

It's the same kind of sterile crap. Kind of like what Malaria did to the Rose Garden during his first term, before they tore it out altogether.

but if I lived in a place with employees whose job was to keep plants alive I think I could manage to leave them alone and have plants which are alive.

And tacky waste, at that!

And you can bet there was probably some grift in there, as well.

I hate these people! They are trashing everything, including the peoples' house.
