Confront the truth: troops in cities are precursor to DIRECT military election interference!

That’s what’s going on with this militarization of our cities. He is not just normalizing having the military patrolling our cities for the heck of it, and he's NOT doing it to stop non-existent societal upheaval. He’s normalizing the military patrolling our cities for a seriously malignant reason: He is going to use his ICE/National Guard private army to intimidate voters in left leaning areas to ensure that the Republicans keep control of the House, the Senate, and state legislatures.

As Election Day nears, the troops will already be stationed for quick mobilization against Democratic leaning voters. They will go to particular Democratic leaning precincts with a show of force designed to intimate people out of voting. Unfortunately, that's the least of it, as bad as that is. Much more important: they will also directly disrupt the voting process by closing some polling places and/or by sowing confusion among voters and local election officials at the polling places.

And what will we do about it? Well…we can raise hell. We can go to court. We can do a lot of things, but who or what will actually stop the voting disruption? The most we can hope for is a court order delayed for several hours, with most damage left intact and unmitigable. It will be too late to fix things, for the most part!

The only solution is to prevent it. Once it happens it is uncorrectable! Hell raising needs to start immediately. The public needs to be warned that this will happen…in effect PREPARE the public very specifically to expect it and to deal with it by being persistent and refusing to give up on voting, regardless of the circumstances. This needs to be a loud, specific campaign that is NON-STOP from now until the election.

Top Democratic office holders and surrogates MUST get on this NOW!

And I‘m in favor of anything else worthwhile that anybody can conjure up to save us from this planned dictatorship.

his goal to kill any chance of democracy returning. It will probably resemble what russia is doing, blue states will be forced to use heavily guarded and fascist monitored "voting locations" along with red state voter suppression, gerrymandering, ect... 4. What you are warning about is certainly worth watching out for, and you might be totally right

But I will interject that the other vulnerable parts of the system are voter registrations, voting equipment access, gerrymandering, and the vote counting processes. We should not think for one second that "troops in the big-city streets on election day" is the end-all, be-all of their scheme to steal the 2026 election. Just saying.

Also, I'm sure our leaders are sharpening their pencils for some sternly-worded letters to express their grave concern as we speak.

The rhetoric was mind-numbing, but it was also inappropriate: The in-person audience included several hundred highly decorated generals and admirals. There was no reason to treat these men and women as if they were little more than sycophantic partisan supporters waiting for fresh red meat.

But making matters far more serious was Trump’s pitch on using the U.S. military on American soil. NPR summarized:

President Trump defended the use of U.S. troops in American cities and told top U.S. commanders that the military would be used against the ‘enemy within.’ ... ‘This is going to be a big thing for the people in this room, because it’s the enemy from within, and we have to handle it before it gets out of control,’ Trump told those gathered for the highly unusual event at Quantico, Va. ‘It won’t get out of control once you’re involved at all.’

“The ones that are run by the radical left Democrats, what they’ve done to San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, they’re very unsafe places. And we’re going to straighten them out one by one. And this is going to be a major part for some of the people in this room,” he told military leaders. “That’s a war, too. It’s a war from within.”

As part of the same argument, the president said he’s told Hegseth that the U.S. “should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military.”

After troop deployments in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., as well as announced deployments to Memphis and Portland, Oregon, many raised concerns about the president’s willingness — and apparent eagerness — to use military force against Americans. After Trump’s speech to generals and admirals, those concerns deserve to be a whole lot louder.
