5. While this shouldn't be a surprise, most of the financial outlets are characterizing this as the Democrats

responsible for the shutdown.

Intentionally ignoring that it was the republicans who have been refusing to include the Democrats in budget negotiations, and consistently trying to take healthcare against millions of Americans who cannot afford premiums with the subsidies, and the millions who will lose coverage because of it.

Wall Street for the most part has been behind trump and his cruel, draconian, fascist policies, including the destruction of our democracy.

The only chance we have to prevent the destruction of our country by these republican thugs, is for Democrats to unite and vote Democratic in huge numbers in the midterms and presidential elections in 2026 and 2028. It will be our last chance to save our Democracy, and we no longer have the luxury of only voting for the Democratic candidate in the general election only if we agree on every issue with that candidate. At this moment in history, third party or not voting in the general election for the Democratic candidate is equivalent to voting for the destruction of our Democracy.
