This is my image of the moon taken 2 days ago.
Everyone on Earth sees the same phase of the moon, however those in the southern hemisphere would see an inverted image.
But if the flat Earthers were correct you would see a different phase of the moon depending on where you observed it from.
Yet, you do not.
Therefore, the Earth is not flat.
Absolutely FLABBERGASTED this has to be said in 2025.

(5,984 posts)In 1969 I was in the Navy and stationed in Antarctica for Winter Over. A few guys said that since we see the Sun 24 hours a day in Summer, we will see the Moon 24 hours a day all Winter. I had to use a chalkboard to demonstrate that since the Moon orbits the Earth and Earth orbits the Sun, they were wrong. They remained skeptical and it was never mentioned again. Many of those guys are MAGA's today.

(6,926 posts)One British flat Earther once stated that we get a lunar eclipse EVERY MONTH, but most of them happen over the ocean, so we don't see them. I kid you not.
COMPLETELY ignorant of orbital mechanics.
FYI: I don't know if you are aware of "The Final Experiment", but go check it out. A group was funded to go to Antarctica last December and film the 24 hour sun. A very facinating story. Proving once again the Earth is a globe, and the current crop of flat Earthers are lying grifters or just scientific simpletons.
