RELEASE: One Month Out from Election Day, State Democrats Are Building Momentum

WASHINGTON— With tomorrow marking one month to go until Election Day, the DLCC is all hands on deck to support state Democrats running in crucial battlegrounds. Momentum is with Democrats who are running to make life easier and more affordable for working families, while Republicans abuse their power to slash health care, raise prices, and shut down the government with no solutions for voters in sight.

Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee President Heather Williams issued the following statement:

“One month out from Election Day, state Democrats are outworking Republicans who are panicked at the thought of accountability for their reckless agenda that has raised prices and cut jobs. As families wake up to another day of a federal government shutdown and sky-high prices, state Democrats will continue to show up and fight for working people in red, blue, and battleground districts. The DLCC has invested millions in the best opportunities to strengthen the Democratic firewall in the states, and we’re excited for our Spotlight candidates to bring home key wins.”

Outside of special elections -- where Democrats have been significantly overperforming -- there are no national elections in an off-year like this.

Everyone wants a 50-state strategy and this is what that is.
