as I often predicted such an authoritarian government would be, if it actually came to pass...

and ironically, members of this government have ALREADY proposed taking away gun rights
from one segment of the population--- trans people:

So far, the vast majority of those '2nd Amendment' advocates have proven to be no help whatsoever
against a dictatorial government, now that it is upon us... Instead, they are more in this class of persons:

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me


(with this post, I am NOT advocating for violence, by any means---
but I think we can now safely dispense with the argument that
"protecting 2nd Amendment rights" to extremes
is ANY protection whatsoever against a 'future dictatorial government' !!!)

Those people won't even open their mouths, let alone 'defend liberty' by virtue of being armed....
in fact, most of them sympathize with the dictator, in this case...

2. NO! Did you NOT READ my post????!!!! I specifically stated that

I frequently predicted that if such a government EVER arose in this country,
that it WOULD BE RIGHT-WING!

The people who believed it would be left-wing were the vast majority of pro-gun advocates
who habitually argued that ANY attempt at sensible regulation of gun ownership
was some kind of 'threat to the foundations of liberty'---


And NOW that the 'threat to the foundations of liberty' is actually HERE,
they won't even open their mouths to protest it!

5. I don't think "the masses" lied about what they claimed to believe---

but they believed too much in the NRA rhetoric
which claimed such a dictatorship could 'only' arise from the left
with no possibility that one could arise from the right---
