(112,365 posts)And not to turn this to the latter too much, but it is certainly possible that some unhinged person might have used that as motivation for this horrible crime.

(112,365 posts)Obviously, murder is murder, but... damn.
I have family members who suffered horrible family deaths like this from violence on Christmas many years ago. They NEVER get over it. We all face tragedies, but when it is at the hands of someone else, it is so amplified. And on Thanksgiving or other major holidays, well, that means that those future holidays will never/can never really be celebrated.
For those left behind... I am so sorry...

(935 posts)There are criminals and unhinged people in every city. They have now both died. Its not a conspiracy. Its a crime and a tragedy to both families. It does nothing to help prove the city is safe.

It's unfortunate that they died - and the fault is Trump's and the traitors who support him.

(59,545 posts)The DC city government wanted firearm restrictions, but the Republicans pushed through measure liberalizing gun ownership. Their argument, as always, was that the more people that have guns, the better protected they are.
I'd say they have their shining example for why that is the opposite of what is true, not that any arguments will help the two guys who were shot.
It's not a lengthy philosophical discussion:
1.)They should not have been shot, and 2.) Had they not been there, they wouldn't have been shot.
plus: 1.) It's not the fault of whoever sent them there that they were shot, and
2.) It IS the fault of whoever sent them there that they were there in the first place.
