If you care about the internet, see this example of how Google is destroying it with AI

The responses to the original post from Google's account for NotebookLM are split between AI users (who are apparently ethics-free and either nearly blind or too careless to spot AI slop) saying how wonderful this AI crap is, and people with functioning eyes, brains and principles who are pointing out both the AI slop errors and the blatant theft of intellectual property by Google.

For instance:

Stolen content without permission. You missed step 4, by the way, stupid idiots.

That’s a great idea to remember /display recipes !

A multi-trillion dollar company that feels the need to steal from individual human creators is one of the most disgusting aspects of the technology industry that I can think of. Truly disgraceful. What is wrong with you people? Where is your humanity? @Google @sundarpichai

Welcome back, full-power infographics and slide decks! That buttery stuffing card is pure holiday magic, NotebookLM is absolutely cooking this season. Thrilled to have the limits lifted!

"Look at what we stole!! Except Step 4. We didn't like that step!"

Google team deserve heaven, no doubt, thanks for all you have done

That mathematically showed how all these LLM AIs will at the most be about half as smart as the average person, because they are trained on huge sets of data produced by people of all levels of intelligence, which of course are mostly average so that what gets the most weighting in the AI model. Plus the models are far from perfect so they can only get halfway to that average level.

So all the billionaires claiming these AIs are eventually going to achieve super-intelligence and surpass and replace humans are full of it.

have robotics in manufacturing, but those aren't intelligent beings.

I am so tired of all this BS about AI when it is simply the same search algorithms we've had on the internet for years. When I do web searches, I pass by all of the AI responses that are at the top of the results and make my way down the page to other links.

Some people need to grow up and see that this AI is all bullsh*t.

It seems I'm getting the opposite of what I'm searching for in the results.
If I search for BLUE I get results for GREEN.

I don't know what it is, but it appears to be intentional.
Fascists would like you to have an instant answer that you will just accept.

Results with links to look through and verify get in the way for a fascist regime.

Getting detailed search results with accurate information is a very powerful thing.

They don't want you to have that power.

And I do remember when it wasn't this way.
