This ends only when the $$$$ gets the message that their rabid attack dog and his pack of likewise adherents are persona non grata and that WE THE PEOPLE are no longer going to support the system or allow it to continue.

STOP BUYING EVERYTHING.
STOP GOING ANYWHERE.
CEASE ALL NON-SURVIVAL EXPENDITURES.

People have called for a general strike over various issues many times over the decades.

Hell, even actual union members often cross picket lines to work. Most working people need that regular paycheck, so no, a call for a general strike is meaningless.
