Immigration Agents Terrified of ICE Backlash After Shooting

In the wake of an ICE officer’s killing of Renee Good, the Department of Homeland Security is rolling out “Operation Metro Surge,” flooding Minneapolis with hundreds of additional federal agents — only to realize it doesn’t actually have the confidence to match the bravado.

While homeland secretary Kristi Noem and others in the administration preen about justifying last week’s shooting and trumpet their war on “domestic terrorism,” DHS is privately divided and hesitant about the latest deployments. According to documents leaked to me, not only is the Department seeking “volunteers” for the apparently unpopular mission, it is urging its agents to maintain a low profile and comply with the use of force policies.

1. One of more of these morons is the sacrificial lamb

Trump and Noem and Homan and the other wastes of human skin are COUNTING on someone bringing a gun to a gun fight ( and not a whistle ) and using it against one or more ICEholes. When that happens, Trump with declare an insurrection and suspend elections. Thus the end stage of the American representative democracy.

That is why Noem is using Nazi slogans and threats ( even on her podium and in their advertising ).

2. They truly fear transparency of due process

and being held to the same standards they're forcing non-white male citizens to comply with. Being seen for what they are, and accepting the just consequences of that, would be anathema to their operations, goals and methods.

3. They NEED to be terrified.

Look, I don't want to sound like the grim reaper, but it's only a matter of time until they kill someone else. Ordinary citizens are learning that video tape is the best testimony and more and more are out to protest and video.

These ICE agents were told that they could go in, rough up anyone they want, and get off scott free. They aren't going to be able to do that forever and somewhere down the line, they're going to realize that the Secret Police didn't survive Nazi Germany. They will be identified more and more often and their masks won't protect them.

Fifty Thousand Dollars (reported sign on bonus) is indeed a lot of money, but it is chump change over five years of no one wanting to hire you, no one wanting to live next to you, and no one wanting to have anything to do with you. Not to mention legal fees that might be necessary.
