Trump and ‘maga’ are products of the GOP.

The myth is that prior to Trump, the GOP was a right of center party interested in sound, responsible governance.

That hasn’t been true for well over 50 years.

The fact is that the GOP has long been reactionary, fascist, and authoritarian, nativist, racist, and bigoted, seeking to compel conformity and punish dissent with its attack on our democratic institutions and the Constitution.
