Brief DU intergenerational meet-up in Spain

My wife often joins me in March when I have a longer stay in Barcelona. This time, longtime DU member blm told me that her daughter was studying there, and she would put us in touch, in case we all had time to meet up. It turned out that on Sunday, we all did.

So, a loud Catalan "Bon dia" from my wife and me, as well as "baby blm," who isn't much of a baby any more, to DU back in the USA:

If blm isn't bragging, it's due to pure modesty on her part, and not because she lacks a reason.

Although it’s only a one hour flight, we almost never make it up there. It must be at least ten years since we’ve been.

I can remember blm talking about her baby who was actually a baby back then and now you are meeting that baby that is now all grown up.

I miss her, but, love knowing how happy she is there while chasing that masters degree.

Thankyou.

And….Thankyou to DU, MWO, and Bartcop.

Ava spent plenty of hours on my lap where we would ‘Guggle’ various animal photos and videos. Remember when DU linked to Smirking Chimp, and the days of MIMS - Monkey In a Man Suit? Ava’s first day of preschool, the teacher pointed out a photo of ‘the president’ and Ava loudly replied, “George Bush is a monkey, ooo…ooo…ooo.”

Once you have established an existence there, it is extremely difficult to break free of it.
