Let's just say that Donald has no idea how Article 5 of NATO works. The US homeland was not attacked this time around. Meanwhile, the US watches as tankers pass through the Strait of Hormuz, destined for China. Blockading those ships would be a way to initiate WWIII.

He said 95% of Japan's oil flows through the Straits of Hormuz.
He is basically naming countries and what percentage of Oil they get that flows through SoH.

If all or any of these countries joined, it's pretty much a World at War.
