in that we, the US he wants, don't need the Taiwan Strait. It separates China from Taiwan, and he doesn't much care what happens to Taiwan after several days of wheeling and dealing with Xi, Elon and the rest of the Ratty Pack.

and he may not care about the semiconductor industry - maybe they're not bribing him enough.
