where'd standup comedy go?

Haven't seen any on HBO in seemingly forever. Don't have a Netflix account.

So, has all the standup migrated to Netflix?

Or has Trump put a chill in the funny people?

didn't think of looking there.

Laughter is sorely needed.

Edit: Yep, Netflix appears to have cornered the market.

If you were Jewish or gay, or otherwise unorthodox, you were in trouble. If you were a straight white Nazi, you had a much better chance to survive, but for some reason, conservatives (Nazis) just are not very funny.

Paula Poundstone is on YouTube a lot.
Patton Oswalt is funny, imo, along with Louis C.K., Wanda Sykes, Jim Gaffigan, Chris Rock, Dave Attell, Sarah Silverman, Dave Chappelle & others.
Any comedian hosting SNL is usually funny.
I think stand-up comedy is alive & well in America, in spite of TSF being POTUS.

thanks for the reminder. So many places to look these days. I remember quite clearly way way back when we had a black-and-white TV and only 3 channels to choose from. Damn, we have come a long way.

One strike against YouTube is you basically have to know what, and who, you are looking for.

Almost every single listing on the IMDb website lists stand-up on Netflix.

Brilliant comedian. He doesn't crack jokes or anything. His humor is very cerebral. He offers the same kind of wry, observational slices of life that Bill Cosby used to do, back before he became very unfunny, and everyone discovered what a creep he is.

Josh Johnson, as least as far as I can tell, is definitely one of the good guys of standup.

But I couldn’t make the shows, dammit. I’m looking over his tour schedule and might travel somewhere to see him.

Funny, I was watching Josh’s hour-long show from 9 days ago (re Spirit Airlines) while you were making that reply.
