After an altercation Tuesday with a congressman during which he made repeated antisemitic comments, Sen. Rand Pauls son William apologized and said Wednesday he is seeking help for his drinking problem.
Last night, I had too much to drink and said some things that dont represent who I really am, William Paul tweeted on Wednesday afternoon. Im sorry and today I am seeking help for my drinking problem.
The incident between Paul and Rep. Mike Lawler, a New York Republican, occurred late Tuesday at the Tune Inn bar and restaurant in Washington, D.C. in front of NOTUS reporter Reese Gorman, who reported first-hand about the incident.

And he goes, Oh! Oh, Im sorry to accuse you of that, Lawler added. Which is just a remarkable statement in and of itself. But he then went on a roughly 10-minute diatribe about Israel, about Jews, about Paul Singer and accusing Jews of being responsible for so many things, playing right into the typical antisemitic tropes that so many people rely on.

What that asshole said, taken in totality and in context, is not an apology.
