Trump's More Than 3,700 Trades Astonish Wall Street Insiders

President Donald Trump’s latest financial disclosures show that he or his investment advisers made more than 3,700 trades in the first quarter, a flurry totaling tens of millions of dollars and involving major companies that have dealings with his administration.

The transactions, spelled out in more than 100 pages of documents filed Thursday with the US Office of Government Ethics, list purchases and sales in broad ranges, making it hard to calculate an exact value. But the volume of trading — more than 40 per day over a three-month period — stands out as much as the potential dollar value.

“This is an insane amount of trades,” said Matthew Tuttle, chief executive officer of Tuttle Capital Management, in an interview, adding that it looks more like something done by “a hedge fund with massive algo trades” that buys and shorts securities than a personal account.

In the first quarter, the president bought at least $1 million each in companies including Nvidia Corp., Oracle Corp., Microsoft Corp., Boeing Co. and Costco Wholesale Corp., according to the documents. Other trades involved eBay Inc., Abbott Laboratories, Uber Technologies Inc., AT&T Inc. and discount store Dollar Tree Inc.

(Thank the higher powers that I am not)

I would seriously look into massive churning by my brokers depending on the fees.

Pathetic.

who are supplying him with inside info or engaging in pump & dump on his behalf and, as their reward, are allowed to churn his accounts to run up commissions?

Wake up, Republicans. He's not doing anything for YOU to be better off financially. Just himself. And the Republican Congress YOU elected just lets him do it. THIS is what "grab 'em by the pussy" was all about; not just literal women being violated, but YOU the American voting public.

Insider Trading law?

The misappropriation theory of insider trading is now accepted in U.S. law. It states that anyone who misappropriates material non-public information and trades on that information in any stock may be guilty of insider trading. This can include elucidating material non-public information from an insider with the intention of trading on it or passing it on to someone who will. This theory constitutes the background for the securities regulation that enforces the insider trading.[15] Disgorgement represents ill-gotten gains (or losses avoided) resulting from individuals violating the securities laws.

The problem isn't that he can use their loophole here...

U.S. SEC Rule 10b5-1 clarified that the prohibition against insider trading does not require proof that an insider actually used material nonpublic information when conducting a trade; possession of such information alone is sufficient to violate the provision, and the SEC would infer that an insider in possession of material nonpublic information used this information when conducting a trade. However, SEC Rule 10b5-1 also created for insiders an affirmative defense if the insider can demonstrate that the trades conducted on behalf of the insider were conducted as part of a pre-existing contract or written binding plan for trading in the future.

Even if they do, the problem is whether this activity constitutes a core function of the president.

All of these transactions should be used to craft another set of articles of impeachment next year, and once there is a Dem AG again, the people involved should go to jail.

I bet you could get the stock brokers involved to flip and testify, and if they get pardons, they will have to testify.

The only discussion still needed about Krasnov is how to remove him as quickly as possible before he breaks anything else. It can and will get a lot worse the longer he is allowed to stay. Everybody knows he should go. The people who should do it and are not doing it should all be sent home in November for what they have allowed to happen to this country. Time to put an end to this fascist takeover.
