No more congress or representatives over 70

Our government has to be the easiest, most lucrative job in the nation. These people build generational wealth serving in office. It’s disgusting watching these older individuals, including the president position, losing their faculties and abilities to put together cohesive thoughts yet they lead our nation.

It’s time that we have an age limit on these roles the same as real world jobs where decisions are being made that affect lives.

20% of congress is over 70 today. What is the correct limit on this. 70..75…. I don’t let an 80 year old drive my new car…

Out with
Bernie Sanders
Nancy Pelosi
Maxine Watters
Jim Clyburn
Ed Markey
I am sure there are others I can’t think of off the top of my head but really, they have all done a lot of good in their 80’s. We have the chance every 2 years to get rid of all of them maybe the longer senate terms are a problem, but again, they can be voted out and more easily replaced if they die in office.

Half of the Fortune 500 companies are run by people above 60 hell Warren Buffett is ….just plain old.

It isn't necessarily about age, young or old. A lot of people are very valuable and contribute a great deal to society. We shouldn't put age limits on them. I really hate some of the generational wars I see pop up these days. It is hardly constructive.

What could they have been thinking off? They both ran in 2024 for 6 year terms when they were in their mid to late seventies.
They and their voters irresponsible?

the House and Senate caucuses to decline, as a matter of convention or norm, to select for any leadership positions -- speaker, leader, whip, committee or subcommittee chair or ranking -- any member beyond some age.

The House and Senate members could accomplish this on their own, without any change in laws or such, if they wanted to.

They do not want to.

But age limits would require an amendment to the constitution and I don’t see that happening for much.

The issue with Krasnov isn’t age, it is with the Republican Congress allowing him to be a criminal. We need to take actions against that happening again.

It is up to the voters. And voters get the kind of government they deserve.

Should there also be an upper age limit on voting?
