Elon Musk worried about national debt after planting his face between Trump's butt cheeks

Elon Musk does not often sound like a fiscal policy analyst. But in a Fox News interview that has been recirculating widely as the US approaches another deficit milestone, he made a comparison that is hard to ignore.

He compared the country to a person heading for bankruptcy. And the numbers now being reported by federal budget watchdogs suggest the comparison may not be as hyperbolic as it first sounds.

"A country is no different from a person," Musk said in a Fox Business interview. "If a country overspends and doesn't spend wisely, just like a person, the country will go bankrupt."

He went further, saying the problem was personal for him.

Because you were personally responsible for part of it you Ketamine addled moron.

13. It's a prelude to the usual "Two Santa Claus" theory that the Rethugs always enact when the Dems get in power.

Run the deficit up as fast and hard as you can when the Rethuglicans are in charge and then scream about the deficit (that they caused) when the Dems take over. What have these deficits gotten us besides huge interest payments and richer rich people?

Just a reminder that Democrats have been cleaning up Rethuglican messes since 1933.

Disgorge more of that grift, voluntarily, NOW, before it's too late to stop the avalanche of corruption and theft charges coming in November.

No!

A country is not like a person. Economically they are different. Countries don’t die. That is why there is a field of study called “macroeconomics “.

The stupid, it hurts…

It’s a pearly but Elon is priming the pump.

Republicans are in power. National debt is a good thing. The US can never go bankrupt because we can print money. Print money and people can go to work, oligarchs can make money, the country is strong. Don’t worry, run up the debt!

Democrats come to power? The national debt is out of control! Fix it! Reduce spending dammit! It’s the only way! We wouldn’t be in this mess if Biden, Obama, DEI, AOC!!!

Especially people who've been collecting and selling people's personal information without real consent, not to mention who train their AIs with stolen intellectual property (without permission nor payment to the rightsholder). Y'know, guys like Elon.
