?si=fGNe2ZBuqYtHXAwPA federal three-judge panel unanimously blocked Alabama from replacing its court-ordered map with a GOP-drawn plan. The judges ruled that implementing the state's 2023 mapwhich reduced the number of majority-Black districts from two to oneis constitutionally invalid because it was drawn with "intentional race-based discrimination" against Black voters. Here are the key details of the decision:The Ruling: The judges found "undisputed evidence" that the state's map intentionally dilutes Black voting power, violating the 14th Amendment.Upcoming Elections: The state is forced to use the court-ordered map featuring two majority-Black districts for the 2026 midterms. The court also previously barred Alabama from redrawing its maps again until after the 2030 census. The Context: Alabama tried to implement the Republican-friendly 2023 map following the Supreme Court's major late-April ruling (Louisiana v. Callais) regarding Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. However, this panel ruled that the high court's recent decision does not negate the intentional racial discrimination found in the Alabama map.You can read the full, unfolding details of the court's decision via ABC News or The Guardian.Federal court blocks new Republican-friendly voting map in AlabamaMay 26, 2026 Panel of three judges says congressional map was drawn to intentionally discriminate against Black voters. if I'm misperceiving, but is that just a hint of recognition of unfairness in the process, in racism in the intent, and that on some barely perceived level, Republicans shouldn't be so biased? Is that a glimmer of hope?

You can bet on that.
That have figured out that their "plan" is going to cost them more seats than they will win, in my opinion.
