(14,313 posts)The domestic jobs may disappear and corporate may say it's AI but the jobs could actually be offshored. I happened with my former employers' layoffs of technical staff and with a lot of major tech firms over the past two years. I'm not convinced AI is at the stage yet where it can replace so many jobs.

(14,152 posts)Add the fragility of that "all-in" bet to the following and our economy is truly a house of cards. (IMO, the obscene concentration of wealth makes our economy even more fragile than the all-in bet on AI.)
