Graham Planter held 71 town halls across Maine listening to and communicating with Mainers

The most I could find that Janet Mills held was a hand full of small targeted meet and greets and one specific town hall held at Bowdoin College on April 14th about two weeks before she suspended her campaign on April 30th.

Platner opens 33-point lead over Mills, leads Collins in new Maine U.S. Senate poll

So I'm not sure why Mills felt the need to suspend her campaign in the first place

Was it because as the current Governor of Maine falling behind a first year candidate by 30+ points in the polls was a highly embarrassing statement of her leadership as the top executive in the state of Maine?

Or was it because she was tired after holding one town hall at Bowdoin College, a handful of meet and greets, and needed some rest?

I expected her to shake her fist and yell “get off my lawn “!

Contemptuous of the electorate, which is toxic during elections.

When people confronted her, she smirked and leaned into defensive body posture. It seemed to me like she was surprised she would face such questions after gracing Maine with her candidacy after having been recruited hard by Schumer and Gillibrand.

After I saw her town hall, I knew she wasn't going to win.

She looks silly for wanting to re-enter the race but I suppose that's her right. Platner, for all his faults has done the work to earn their votes. It's up to Mainers to decide.

Seems like a reasonable and honest explanation for suspending campaign.

I have admired her for standing up to Trump to his face and following up with winning against him in court.
