(4,882 posts)There is a pattern of scandal-plagued republicans (redundant) hiring Democrats to defend them. It may be the same way men have women defend them in divorce/custody battles. Tom Delay and Scooter Libby both had Democratic lawyers.
Plus, one article has the below passage with a quote from co-counsel, though it should be taken with a grain of salt since that one is a magapublican.
"I love Dan, but he is a Democrat, and he doesnt vote very much," Little wrote on X. "This impeachment defense lawyer is 100% behind Ken Paxton. Ive personally served alongside Representative Talarico, and when hes working hes doing really radical, leftist things."
