Maddow reacts to White House UFC stage as a monument to Trump corruption

Rachel Maddow lists example after example of people or organizations giving large sums of money to Donald Trump's interests and subsequently receiving some favorable treatment from Trump. The UFC fight on the White House lawn stands out as one of the more egregious examples, with Trump essentially giving himself a birthday present from the American people. Brendan Ballou, founder of the Public Integrity Project, talks with Rachel about his lawsuit to stop Trump's UFC event.

Trump purchased between $15 ,000 and $50 ,000 worth of stock in the parent company of UFC and WWE. He did so weeks ahead of a White House UFC event.

Trump's financial disclosures, quote, do not specify how much stock Trump purchased, but say he acquired it March 25th, a little more than two weeks after the Freedom Fights 250 fight card was publicly revealed and which he has been promoting nonstop.

Meanwhile, UFC, which is helmed by Trump donor Dana White, UFC has been selling ticket packages to the event at the White House for a million dollars or more.

Trump's Super PAC is now hosting a fundraiser the night before at a million dollars per person.

And that's not to mention the fees that Paramount Skydance will collect for streaming the event, Paramount Skydance, the media company owned by two other executives with ties to Trump, Larry and David Ellison.

And all those potential financial gains for Trump himself and for all those Trump allies?

Those are part of the reason an anti-corruption organization has now filed a lawsuit seeking to stop the UFC cage match on the White House grounds...

that was "donated" for Trump's dance hall, (as if we don't all know) and why are taxpayers picking up the tab for its construction?

Shouldn't we all get huge contracts for doing absolutely nothing too?

Trump's second go at destroying our country may very well go down in history as the most corrupt and criminal government of all time, worldwide. D3 would take immense pride in that "honor."
