Israeli newspaper Hareetz has quoted the countrys defence minister, Israel Katz, as having said that the IDF will remain in the security zones in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza indefinitely to defend the border and Israeli communities against jihadist elements.

The US can't speak for Israel, we don't control them. The US agreeing to things on Israel's behalf was never realistic, but I think Trump has been so desperate that he's just been winging it with the hope he can convince BiBi after the fact.
Watch, the fall back deal with be the worst one yet. Basically the US will give Iran $24B, remove the blockade, and allow Iran to fund their army by charging tolls at the Strait. Israel won't be part of the deal.
And there is virtually no nuclear aspect to the deal, Iran promising not to build a weapon without oversight is a joke.

(6,470 posts)Trump is desperate to get the price of oil down well ahead of the midterms. And he loves to spend money that isn't his, so paying off Iran to put oil back into the economy is really his only option. Trump knows that if he losses Congress he is not only a lame duck, but he will most likely see the worst of the Epstein files exposed...and everything else will be put under a spot light.
I think a newly Democraticly controlled Congress will look to humiliate Trump.
