Im pleasantly surprised by some of the rulings the court has issued this week, but its still very alarming that some of these decisions were 5-4 instead of 7-2, 8-1 or 9-0.
Its good to know even this corrupt, extreme illegitimate court has its limits when it comes to the tyrant, but some seem all too happy to cede power to a wannabe tyrant.
Maybe John Roberts is trying to save face and try to rein in the monster he helped create (a little late for that, dont you think, John?), but I also know when you think something cant get worse, it absolutely can.
Is it going to get so bad that were actually going to look back on this court with nostalgia compared to what could be? This court at least throws us a bone once in a while, I shudder to think what younger versions of some of these creeps would consist of or if, forbid, they grew their majority even more.
Thats why we must expand. Do it. When we get power next, expand with new, younger justices in the mold of Justice Jackson. We need to end MAGA once and for all.

(54,111 posts)that I will not publicly wish ill toward people, especially during this era where everyone is vulnerable. That is the sort of thing that could attract the wrong attention from the powers that be.
So I'll just wish them retirement and that they receive all that they deserve and much, much more.

The conservative members of the court remain zealots with an agenda. An occasional rational ruling doesnt change the fact.
