Authorities arrested right-wing livestreamer Gian Rachtelli, who is known online as "Manny," during the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C. He was charged with "lewd, indecent, or obscene acts" after several people told police they saw him engaging in inappropriate behavior while watching a Cirque Mechanics performance. According to HuffPost, multiple witness statements described similar observations, leading to his arrest at the event.
One witness told officers Rachtelli had been filming female acrobats before putting "his right hand down his pants" and making repeated movements that "appeared to be self pleasure or masturbation." Another witness said a Cirque Mechanics performer alerted them to an "older white male" who was "making lewd gestures in his pants" during the show.
Before the incident, Rachtelli had been livestreaming from the fair on YouTube. The stream came to an abrupt end when a police officer walked up to him and led him toward a group of other officers. Since then, Rachtelli hasn't publicly responded to the accusations. Instead, he's been resharing posts from supporters on X (formerly Twitter0. One message claimed, "Manny's only crime is being a huge Patriot," while saying that he's "innocent until PROVEN guilty."
