and she asked a Justice Scalia associate about taking back our constitution?
He said that Scalia would have loved it and wanted it that way!
Umm, Scalia was one of the judges that put us in the situation with all his rulings ways.
Give me a break!

(115,237 posts)In reality, he probably was on some issues--by comparison. Obviously not on a lot of major issues that has sent us down this path. Still, he did attempt to argue the law and constitution. Alito, Thomas, Kavanaugh and Gorsuch (often) just argue ideology and try to make the law "fit" (or ignore it completely).
But, damn if I wouldn't sub Scalia in for any of those horrible cretins.

(4,006 posts)He clerked for Scalia, if I got that correctly.
I caught a bit of that exchange.
Before I saw his name and association with Scalia, I said to my husband, "Who the hell is that?". We often go to the BBC during KT time slot.

There's a host of presuppositions and assumptions that will never be addressed or questioned on corporate news.
