Dershowitz to sit for questioning in House Epstein probe

Alan Dershowitz, a former defense attorney for late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, will appear before the House Oversight Committee on July 20 for a transcribed interview, according to two sources familiar with the planning. Dershowitz helped secure a controversial plea deal for Epstein in 2008, in which the disgraced financier agreed to plead guilty to two Florida state prostitution charges in exchange for immunity from federal sex-trafficking charges. He served 13 months in prison.

Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre had accused Epstein of trafficking her to Dershowitz, which Dershowitz had denied; she later recanted the accusation as part of a settlement. Dershowitz has denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein’s crimes.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) had previously requested that Dershowitz sit for an in-person, videotaped interview in Washington, D.C., as part of the panel’s ongoing investigation into Epstein.

“Due to public reporting, documents released by the Department of Justice, documents obtained by the Committee, and your former role as Mr. Epstein’s attorney, the Committee believes you have information that will assist in its investigation,” Comer wrote in a letter to Dershowitz.

The survivors have delivered, under seal, the names of perpetrators to the house and senate committee, just this past weekend.

He has claimed that most of the survivors were willing participants that accepted money for their acts. He also was the one that called and threatened the survivors during the Epstein investigation in South Florida while he was representing Epstein. He is the one that got the case transferred from Federal Court to State Court and negotiated the "Sweetheart Deal".

What a bunch of horseshit.

He needs to fucking go to jail.
