here’s a fun quote from Dwight D. Eisenhower, uttered when he was Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in 1945, regarding the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany.

“get it all on record now. get the films. get the witnesses, because somewhere down the road of history, some bastard will get up and say that this never happened.”

Dwighty-D was right about getting all that fuckery on film — because sure enough, it was only a matter of time before the worst people in the world slithered out from under their flat rocks to deny that the Holocaust ever happened.

but life moved a much slower pace back in 1945. here in America in the year 2026, ‘down the road of history’ has now been compressed to about fifteen hot seconds.
