Sorry, Dave, you can't do that: Federal judge protects vote-at-home, state voter rolls from Trump and his Postmaster Gen
General

A day after telling Congress that the United States Postal Service would refuse to mail ballots in states that didnt turn over their voter rolls to Donald Trumps regime, a federal judge in Massachusetts has enjoined Donald Trumps Posmaster General David Steiner and his underlings from carrying out Trumps order, handing Washington, Oregon, California, and a coalition of like-minded states a huge legal victory.
The Presidents attempt to seize control of our elections by selectively refusing to deliver mail-in ballots was unconstitutional and dangerous and the court was right to strike it down, said Washington State Attorney General Brown. We will continue to defend the right of eligible Washington voters to participate in our democracy.
A news release from Browns office adds: In their lawsuit challenging the unlawful Executive Order, the States argued that the Order would require them to act contrary to their own election laws, voter roll procedures, and vote-by-mail systems. The U.S. Constitution gives states the authority to administer elections, not the President. The States also argued that Trumps executive order would not have allowed sufficient time to upend election administration procedures before the November election, leaving voters confused and in doubt of the security of state election systems.
The ruling, by United States District Judge Indira Talwani, overturns Sections 2, 3, and 5 of Trumps Executive Order 14399, which was given the subject Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections (it does neither of those things).
