Tonight is the 50th anniversary of the debut of Saturday Night Live

It's Hillary and Bill Clinton's 50th anniversary.
It would be my 50th anniversary with my first husband but I am so happy that it didn't work out. However the date still sticks in my head for some reason.

And tomorrow is the 10th birthday of my eldest grandchild.

1. I was a senior in high school

I didn’t watch it personally that first night but I certainly heard about it on Monday morning! The musical guests in the first year really helped new wave kick disco off the charts — I remember seeing Elvis Costello and Devo for the first time on that show. By the time I was in college the next year the dorm lounge was packed at 11:35 every Saturday night.
