The sound of a Tawny Frogmouth making its monotonous humming 'ooom' call at night in the Australian bush. These sounds are most frequently heard in spring and summer when Tawny Frogmouths are breeding. This species also makes other sounds including a gruff huffing call and a mechanical rattle.
All of the sounds featured on this channel were recorded on location by Wild Ambience. I am a professional nature sound recordist and my work is regularly used in wildlife documentaries, films, musical compositions, museum exhibits and sound art installations.

It's a bit mesmerizing, and I can imagine it being fantastic accompanied by music.
