I wasn't sure whether to post on this forum or the LGBT forum. Anyway, here is the first openly-gay rock star who was very talented yet didn't have a chance in hell of succeeding due to an overrated marketing campaign from his manager, indifference from the general public and negative reaction from the gay community at the time.
