7. I use postimages, too.

I find it very easy to use, with or without setting up an account. You need to make an account to be able to easily find the images you store there, but that's a snap, too.

4. Yeah, they changed "for the better" like other sites.

When you log in, check the "button" on the lower right and select "Use Old Design."
Then make sure you check the reason you wish to use it otherwise you may simply get ignored and not realize it. I usually check "the old design is easier to use" - it is. But evidently you MUST check one of the choices!
But yeah, they fixed the site up by making it worse as is par for todays businesses. There are times I have to reup 5 or 6 attempts to get them to post.
If you select images to upload, make sure, if you highlight more than one, check them all THEN select the last one on the list (after you highlighted all those you want) and drag it (the whole selection) to New Post.Also, after you upload, you may want to wait a few moments or more to make sure they aren't jammed up. They have been getting a ton more of uploads and maybe their system needs time to process the sequences received by so many. Just a thought.
It's a pain but can work. I'm thinking of going to another provider, also. Getting too old for modern changes. LOL!

6. I use SmugMug and it's great. However, you might need to pay.

I believe they have a free version. Their operation is very good, seamless and smooth.

8. WiVoter, this method works. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

“A good method for posting photos on DU.”

On a computer save the photo you want to post to the desktop.

Go to postimages.org then click on and drag the photo from
the desktop to postimages’ Choose images box.

The next screen will say Upload completed! and you’ll see
your photo. To the right will be a list of links. At Direct link
click on the blue and white icon at the right to copy your
photo.

In the Photography forum on DU, click on Start discussion
and on the next page type in a title for your photo. In the Discussion
text box right-click paste then at the bottom of the page click Post.
