Related: About this forumSaturday horses. Maddie and Pete.
Laurie brought Pete home recently. He got his first look at Maddie and she at him after 3 months' separation. He had spent summer with friends, teaching a boy to ride. He got the marks on his hip rubbing against the stall divider in the trailer.

There's been some bumping and squealing, but they're settling in. Pete and Maddie are half-brother, half-sister.

The neighbor girls came over to talk with the horses yesterday.

(10,074 posts)been 58 years since I've been on a horse. At 10 years old, I was "contracted" by my neighbor to feed and stable his horse, let him out in the morning and put him up at night, ride him when I wanted. At the same time a school friend of mine owned a riding stable and we got to ride anytime we wanted for cleaning the stalls. great photos!
