Found a free, reliable image-hosting service -- https://imgchest.com/
Pretty simple, straightforward. Link opens to a Very Busy Home Page, most all of which looks to be "Crap-Links". Go up to the red box NEW POST, click to drag and drop. A spinning wheel signals the process and turns into your image. Drag cursor to top right of the photo to Copy URL.
Therein lies my only gripe about the site. Image Chest attaches its own URL. Once pasted into DU's Discussion text box, that's no problem for one or two pictures; however, posting multiple files in the different URLs makes it a little harder to keep track of them. That just means, for me, that I check back to the images and make sure they're still in the proper order for posting.
On the Plus-side, photos are displayed one after another, top to bottom.

Back on subject, I suspect that one or more of these hosts will vanish in the future, perhaps all of them. So make backups of important photos that you (or anyone else) posted. Many of mine are from GIMP files that I edited,
