Arizona approves key 2025 election manual ahead of deadline
PHOENIX Ariz. (KVOA) - Arizona's 2025 Election Procedures Manual (EPM) has received official approval from Gov. Katie Hobbs, Attorney General Kris Mayes, and Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, marking a significant milestone ahead of the 2026 election cycle.
The EPM is essential for guiding elections across Arizona's 15 counties, providing clarity in areas where laws might be unclear. This collaboration marks the first time in over a decade that a second EPM has been enacted in a single term.
"The EPM ensures that every voter, in every corner of Arizona, has the same accountable and secure election process," Fontes said. He highlighted the extensive bipartisan efforts and public engagement involved in drafting the manual, emphasizing its foundation for the 2026 elections.
Attorney General Mayes praised the manual, stating, "The Election Procedures Manual gives Arizonas election officials the tools they need to run fair and transparent elections."
