Related: About this forumA Must-read account of Fracking Colorado
"One activist mother from Erie told me that the COGCCs environmental exceptions for technologically challenged drillers is like arguing that a person who flunks out of medical school should still be allowed to perform brain surgery because that was his expectation and his monetary well being depends on it. Clearly, public health does not lead the list of governmental concerns at fracking discussions."http://ecowatch.com/2013/must-read-fracking-colorado/

(2,140 posts)1. That looks like a stretch of I-70
That runs between Debeque and Rifle...The number of gas wells visible from the highway is sickening...Most if not all fracked,of course.
When we lived in Glenwood Springs,my wife worked as office admin.for one of the 2 oil/gascos based, regionally, out of Parachute.Occasionally on a slow day,a crew would take her out to a site where they were fracking. She'd describe feeling the ground shake and tremble and awful, sickening odors. From that, and from hearing in office chatter, she was convinced,in '05-'06,fracking was not good for anyone but the gascos...
