Slow start to 2026 Illinois primary election early voting in Williamson County
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - Early voting is continuing across Illinois ahead of next Tuesday’s primary election.
In Williamson County, turnout started slow, but Williamson County Clerk Amanda Barnes says it’s picked up the pace a little bit over the past week.
As of Wednesday afternoon, only about 950 people have cast early ballots.
That’s slightly behind the pace from four years ago, when just around 1,100 voters had already voted early at this point.
