Cuyahoga County Board of Elections hosts blood drive and voter registration April 2

CLEVELAND -- The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections and the Red Cross will host a joint blood donation and voter registration drive on April 2, offering residents a chance to contribute to both public health and civic engagement.

The deadline to register to vote or update a voter registration to participate in Ohio’s May 5 primary is April 6. Early in-person voting begins the following day.

The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Board of Elections building, 1803 Superior Ave., Cleveland. Attendees can donate blood and register to vote in the May 5 Primary Election.

“An adequate supply of blood is vital for saving lives and voting is the symbolic life blood of our system of democracy,” Anthony Perlatti, director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, said in a statement.
