Oklahoma Democratic U.S. Senate Candidates to Debate at Downtown Library 3:00 PM 4:30 PM, on May 17 OKLAHOMA CITY Presented by The Will Rogers Experiment Podcast
Democratic candidates vying for the U.S. Senate seat in the upcoming June primary will convene for a public debate at the Downtown Oklahoma City Metropolitan Library on Sunday, May 17. The event offers voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates before the June 16 primary election. Moderated by Sean Cummings and Kit Fairchild who host the Will Rogers Experiment podcast.
The debate will feature the following candidates currently seeking the Democratic nomination:
Jim Priest, a lawyer and former nonprofit executive focusing on "Bringing America Together Again".
NKiyla "Jasmine" Thomas, a nurse and military spouse advocating for working families and improved healthcare access.
Troy W. Green, a foster care advocate and law enforcement veteran prioritizing economic mobility.
R.O. Joe Cassity, an attorney and frequent candidate for the seat.
Ervin Yen, a former state senator and physician.
Participants will discuss pressing issues facing Oklahomans, including affordable healthcare, public education funding, and the nations economic future. This seat, currently held by interim appointee Alan Armstrong following the resignation of Markwayne Mullin, is considered a high-stakes race that could impact the partisan balance of the U.S. Senate.
