Election Commission Releases Unofficial List Of Candidates In May Election
The deadline passed at noon on Thursday for nominating petitions for the May 5 Republican and Democratic primary election, which includes the offices of county mayor, county sheriff and county commissioners.
The May election also includes the Town of Greeneville school board primary election.
The Thursday deadline applied to both parties’ primary candidates on the May ballot, as well as for Independent candidates
Those Independent candidates will not appear on the May 5 ballot, but on the Aug. 6 general election ballot.
