Here are the Anderson County candidates seeking election on May 5
2026 is the year of the local elections in Anderson County.
Every elected seat in Anderson County government with the exception of property assessor, judges and public defender are up for election, according to county Election Commission Administrator Mark Stephens.
Later in the year, there will be municipal elections for each of the cities in the county, as well.
Noon Thursday, Feb. 19, was the deadline for candidates to qualify for the Republican and Democratic primaries on May 5. Early voting for these primaries will be April 15-30. If you are not registered to vote, you have until 6 to get registered. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is April 25.
