What a terrible tragedy. She seemed to be a great person - and she has young kids.

...tragedy. Awful.
Several media outlets...including the NYT...carried this short report of Kerry's and the Prime Minister's condolences with an error. They referred to our SOS as Vice President John Kerry. 😁
It's now been corrected.

- now President John Kerry -- would be. Both jobs necessarily defer to the President, but in this term, Kerry has worked on the nuclear deal and the Paris Accords which are two of the top Obama accomplishments.
