President Trump said the value of the dollar was ‘great,’ when asked whether he thought it had declined too much, adding to pressure on the greenback, which hit a four-year low.

1. Gold is $5,290.40 (when it was $250 in 2007), and
2. Silver is $111.86 (when it was $13.36 to $13.38 in 2007)

With all the RW hoopla on radio and cable stations to buy gold, you also don't see them hawking Treasury Bonds.
