1. Black coffee ☕️, and a toasted bagel with cream cheese.

3. This morning, I introduced my 10 y.o, grandson to grilled corned beef. I usually make him a bacon and egg sand.

I ran out of bacon. (Yeah, I'm an asshole).

Matt: Bad news and good news. There is no bacon for your sandwich. (No response).

But, I got something for you to try - you're gonna like it. But if you don't like it, you don't have to eat it. No response.


Out come the egg, toast, c.b. and ketchup.

He was facing Grandma so I couldn't see his face on first bite - some sound came out. A sound I've never heard before. Grandma said his face lit up.

The C,B, was gone in 45 seconds.

4. After appointment

for bloodwork, I'm headed to Aldi for more honey vanilla Greek yogurt to go with my fresh blueberries.

Beautiful day here and I'll be planting more green peppers and one more tomato. School is out so no kids at the school gardens until fall. I'm tending to their plantings until they get back, all of which are planted in some weird places. Oh well, I guess that's what you do when you're a "student gardener."

5. Ms K made cinnamon rolls!

This is a big deal. She broke her hip on May 5th. She's up and about with a walker now, and can use a cane for short distances. So I woke up to surprise cinnamon rolls and tea this morning!
