mystery package of palm fertilizer spikes

they are labeled 10-5-10. no idea where they came from and I have no palms (though I do have some dragon trees and a ponytail "palm" ) can I just use these for other trees/shrubs? do I need more phosphorus and what should I use? I usually just throw old cow bones under trees for that, is it fine?

1. Personally, I would not use them & I would handle with great care.

2. So that's the NPK - can be considered an all purpose fertilizer. I use 10-10-10 on pretty much everything.

3. I figured it was fine

we tend to be low on phosphorus out here so thought I might need to make it up a little? probably doesn't matter for a one time application.

5. My view - plants tend to get overfed - they are like us - they use what they need and the rest drains away.

It is not so much exactly what, but that, they get fed. So I've never been fussy on plant feeding.

4. a type of scam (kinda)...

a company (thru amazon, ebay, etc) fakes an order from you, sends stuff like this, then using your name writes a glowing review about the quality of the product (usually a different product than you received…like electronics or sonething).

so it’s not really a scam on you…it’s a scam on others.

6. could be, I just don't remember

I had a sort of health crisis at the end of April and didn't get home until middle of July. These were in a pile of junk that seems to indicate they were here before I left but not too much before. they aren't in my order history from anywhere regular so I just don't know. but I am cheap so I will go ahead and use them anyway.
