Holly slow-blinked at me today for the first time!

She was sitting next to me on the couch and I was petting her and telling her how glad I was that she came to live with me and she looked straight at me and slow-blinked! I was overjoyed! The closest she had ever come before was when I would slow-blink at her and she would turn her head away and close her eyes halfway. Not the same thing as looking me right in the face and blinking.

I know my cat-loving friends on DU will understand how happy that made me. She loves me! ❤️

7. Slow blink means a lot. It took me 3 years to get one of my feral Russians to sleep in a heated bed! Lol

He now waits for me by the door every morning. Waits for front porch guitar time... He sits right next to my gig bag. Awesome. He won't let me touch him yet, but he and his lady and kids have been trapped and altered. 🥰🥰🥰
Patience... I am absolutely in love with this fire damaged, beat up Tom, named Smokey. Patience... one day he will touch me physically, as he has my heart.
