She's adorable. She was confiscated by the Humane Society from her former home. Because she wasn't adopted, they put her on the euthanasia list. Our rescue stepped in. They think she's about 12, definitely part chihuahua and I think doxie making her a chiweenie.
I'll probably fail again...she's fitting in well with the rest of my pack.

(3,487 posts)She is absolutely adorable. Rescue is the only way to go! They know when they've been saved. I used to live in a rural area, and all but one (of 5) of my dogs were dumped in the middle of the night in the middle of the desert, and every one of them would have taken a bullet for us.

(666 posts)I hope you do keep her, she deserves a better life than shes had so far. Our dog just showed up years ago and never left. Thats more or less how we ended up with 11 cats 😱😬😂

(3,381 posts)I've had many foster failures. Given my age, I fail for the older dogs. I don't want to adopt a puppy then die on the poor thing sending it to a rescue situation.

(3,464 posts)At my age, I don't want want to adopt a kitten and then leave her behind. My cats are 14 and 15 now and I plan to adopt a senior cat if they predecease me. I don't plan on going anytime soon, but you never know.
Your new dog is beautiful. I'm sure you'll both be very happy together.
